What is a Nonprofit?
A nonprofit is an organization that supports a social cause and operates without the goal of generating a profit. Nonprofits may focus on advocacies such as providing educational programs, health missions, religious work, philanthropy, and other social services to their community.
Many nonprofit organizations are exempt from paying taxes since they contribute towards public development. Most of them also receive funding through private donations, government grants, and fundraising activities to continue they work they are doing.
