What is Show of Hands Voting?

Show of hands voting refers to an open voting system in which the board can see the vote of each director. It involves counting the members present who are eligible to vote and who choose to vote by raising their hands to indicate their vote. Show of hands voting is commonly used for small to medium-sized groups wherein the number of hands can be easily counted and tallied.
