On the 25th and 26th June, Convene attended and exhibited at Reset Connect 2024, the largest event of London Climate Action Week. We’d like to thank Reset Connect and all those in attendance for their engagement with and commitment to sustainability and Net Zero.

Reset Connect bridges the gap between sustainability professionals, large corporations, government leaders, policymakers, tech providers, and entrepreneurs, to name a few. It aims to help businesses make themselves more sustainable, it drives scalable impact; encourages green investment; improves ESG performance and climate resilience; accelerates the Net Zero transition.

The event featured four main stages, seven show floor hubs and exclusive workshops & round table sessions, packed into the two day conference. All of these offered an exploration into pertinent industry topics and trends, discussing sustainable strategies and solutions.

The four main stages of the conference were the Cities and Nature stage, the Net-Zero Business stage, the Finance and Investment stage, and the Pitch and Investment stage.

The first day started with an opening keynote, emphasising why we need nature at the heart of decision-making. This was followed by a keynote looking at the big challenges of 2024, and ‘resetting’ ambition.

On the Cities and Nature stage, there was a talk on ‘Building Tomorrow’s City’, looking at creating a sustainable haven for nature and humanity. This was followed by a discussion of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, which set out the steps for businesses to not only attain the SDGs but also establish a comprehensive framework for fulfilling broader sustainability goals.

There was then a talk on finance and agricultural businesses working together towards sustainability, an interview session looking at local government implementation of Doughnut Economics and a talk on innovations in Net-Zero buildings and infrastructure. This stage ended with a discussion on safeguarding biodiversity, regeneration, and paving the path to nature positivity.

On the Net Zero stage the day began with a talk about major brand transformation, followed by a discussion about transforming industries and tackling overproduction, waste and packaging.

There was a keynote fireside chat about accelerating decarbonisation, and the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for the automotive industry. The day ended with a pre-England v Slovenia discussion on football and sustainability, looking at football’s climate goals.
