What is a Circular Economy?

A circular economy is an economic model of production and consumption which promotes the sharing, reusing, refurbishing, recycling, and composting of materials and products for as long as possible. In contrast to a linear economy, a circular economy closes the gap and restores or regenerates ecosystems. It extends the life cycle of products and reduces waste, addressing climate change issues and other environmental concerns by conserving the Earth’s finite resources.
