The International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS), founded in 1935, is the parent group of other professional dermatology organisations worldwide. It unites more than 200,000 dermatologists from 100 countries and 205 member organisations.
ILDS uses its official partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO) to advocate for including dermatology and skin health in global health policies. For over 125 years, ILDS has shaped international dermatology by promoting education, medical care, and research to enhance global skin health through its members and partners.
Continuing with its mission of promoting skin health and dermatology, ILDS hosted its two-day Assembly of Delegates Meeting in person in Singapore on July 5-6. The event was open only to registered representatives of ILDS Members. At the Ordinary Meeting, the President, Secretary General, and Treasurer delivered reports to the 300 delegates. The board also facilitated the voting on several significant matters, including the 2027 World Congress of Dermatology (WCD) host city, nominees for the ILDS Board of Directors, and the proposed new Articles of Association.
To ensure reliable and efficient voting during this pivotal meeting, ILDS partnered with ConveneAGM, a leading provider of meeting solutions designed for general meetings of all formats. The platform enabled delegates to cast their votes digitally from any device, streamlining the voting process and increasing the overall meeting’s productivity and efficiency.
Effortless Digital Proxy Appointment for Large-Scale Meetings
ILDS used ConveneAGM to effectively and safely manage the two-day meeting proceedings for almost 300 delegates, plus the board of directors and management. Attendees experienced a seamless and secure mobile registration process on their own devices upon arrival.
ConveneAGM allowed secure e-proxy registration of the representatives who would vote on behalf of the delegate members. This feature streamlined the time-consuming process of appointing representatives with proxy cards, enabling delegate members to securely and swiftly appoint proxies online. With its user-friendly interface, ConveneAGM made it easier for voting and non-voting proxies to follow meeting proceedings and view voting options tailored to each member’s role. This digital proxy appointment system is a valuable tool for seamless meeting management, especially for those with large numbers of delegate members.
Fingertip Access to Real-time Voting
ConveneAGM enabled ILDS to conduct a credible, secure, and efficient meeting, essential for making critical decisions that would shape the overall direction of the organisation for the coming years. The interactive features of the software engaged and empowered delegates to participate actively in the meeting. With ConveneAGM’s Live Voting feature, attendees were able to cast their votes in real time on important matters, such as the next host city for the 2027 World Congress of Dermatology (WCD), nominations for the ILDS Board of Directors, and approval of the new Articles of Association.
ILDS successfully concluded its Assembly of Delegates Meeting, thanks to the comprehensive support from ConveneAGM. The two-day physical AGM ran smoothly and seamlessly, with delegates able to register seamlessly and follow the proceedings conveniently through ConveneAGM’s Live Voting and e-proxy.
